Loads of Love

the inside
For Theo's first Valentine's Day.

I usually like to follow a sketch for my cards.  I came across this new-to-me website.  And I loved the sketch Sketch -N-Scrap - Card Sketch - Perfect for my needs.

Let's Squash It - A new challenge that asks you to use an embossing folder.  The theme this time is Love & Red / Pink

NBUS Challenge #23 - "when you use something never-before-used in your creation" The embossing folder is brand new for me. And so is the stamp set from Newton's Nook.

Supplies:

  • Paper- gray patterns: DoodleBug; Rainbow Hearts: Michaels; solids: PTI
  • Heart dies-Tutti designs
  • Stamps- Newton's Nook: truck & inside sentiment, Happy Valentine's: There She Goes
  • Embossing folder- Sunny Studios
That's all for now. Until next time, stay safe and stay well.

Heart Baby Scrapbook

I used the sketch (again) from Sketches in Thyme #456
I have to admit, when I saw the first photos of my first grandchild, I was a bit nervous of his appearance.  Perhaps it was the angle of the camera, or just the birth process.
But let me tell you, he has grown into a very cute baby.

Here he is with Grandpa, last week.  Learning to smile, and having a good time.

Supplies:

  • paper: Doodle Bug; Rainbow Hearts (? from Michael's)
  • Stamps: son definition (Visible Image); Baby Care (Unity)
  • Dies: HoneyBee(Baby); assorted Hearts - you may recognize some from my Love cards

I think is the last of using this sketch (at least for now).  I'll be trying something new soon.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Stay safe and stay well.

Heart Dad Scrapbook Pages

Once again I am using the sketch by Sketches in Thyme #456.  This time for my son and his son πŸ’–
I realized too late, I put the diagonal stripe under the horizontal pattern paper.  But I think it still looks fine, and I certainly am not going to do it again.  Especially as Theo is now 2 1/2 months old, and I have a lot more to scrapbook. 😊This is just his first 2 days!
I thought it was important to keep the photo of my son wearing the mask.  As it is a sign of the times.  Hopefully when Theo is old enough to appreciate this, it will be a thing of the past. 🀞
Supplies:

  • paper: Doodle Bug
  • Stamps: father definition (Visible Image); Father and child image (Stamplorations)
  • Dies: Paper Play(Dad); assorted Hearts - you may recognize some from my Love cards

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Stay safe and stay well.

Heart Mom Scrapbook Pages

As you may know, our first grandchild was born right before Thanksgiving.

So, I'm "going back to my papercrafting roots", and  I started a scrapbook for Theo.

I started scrapbooking around 2003 -- about 18 years ago.  That is so hard for me to believe.  I printed out my sons' old pictures and started.  I still have a stash of paper and 'kits'.  I'm not sure where I left off with their scrapbooking.  I will have to check that out one day.

Anyway, I'm looking for sketches and inspiration, and came across this great CAS Sketch from Sketches in Thyme.  I love it -- it's so easy.  I did one double page layout, of my daughter-in-law with new Theo.

I'm so excited to be doing something new.  And . . . I get to use my card-making supplies!  Woop Woop.

Supplies:

  • paper: Doodle Bug
  • Stamps: mother definition (Visible Image); Mother and child image (Technique Tuesday)
  • Dies: Paper Play(Mom); assorted Hearts - you may recognize some from my Love cards

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Stay safe and stay well.

More Love

I made this card using the positive (?) part of the die cut from the card for my hubby, you can find HERE

There is NO Stamping on the front of the card -- only Die Cuts!  And they are varied brands . . . the frame heart was actually 2 heart dies layered to cut out the frame.  The pattern paper is a very old set from My Mind's Eye.

It was a bit time consuming to do these cards, because I actually made 7 of them for family. But any time in my craft room is always soothing to the mind and soul. And I really enjoyed the time.  And I still have many hearts left over to use for. . . . who knows.

I'm putting this into the following challenges:

Here is a picture of the inside:
The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  Now you can see why I made (and mailed) so many. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a closer look.  Stay safe, and stay well.
And Happy Valentine's Day to you.  Be sure to give yourself a hug today.

Love

It's almost Valentine's Day.  This is for my hubby.  There is not a bit of stamping on the front of this card -- oh my!!  The big heart and Love is a die from "I don't know".  It's a lovely company - LoL.  The other hearts are cut from assorted heart dies - the frame heart was cut by layering 2 heart dies. I used a texture embossing folder from Stampin Up.
The pattern papers are from a verrrrry old paper set from My Mind's Eye.

I'm putting this into the following challenges:
