I joined a gym a year ago this summer. Now my favorite trainer is leaving - she has a full load of college classes ahead of her. I will miss her terribly - she made going to the gym fun. I was never good at "gym" as a child, and hate to exercise. But because of her, I feel and look so much better!!
I got this stamp a while ago, because of a post that Chrissie, of Less is More, did. You can see that post here.
I used the Less is More - One Layer - Fur or Feathers Challenge , and the colors from The Play Date Cafe challenge. This is also for CAS Friday square card challenge .
Now I need to give a big THANK-YOU to my darling hubby for putting up with me through this card. If you don't want to read the details, skip down to supplies used.
We left this am for a short 3 night stay in Newport, RI - but cardmaking has been on my mind for days, and I haven't gotten around to any of the ideas in my head. I finally couldn't take it anymore. So I got up a 1/2 hour early and cranked out the basics for this card - cut, stamped the sentiment, embossed the "ground" and stamped the chicks. I quickly packed my color pencils and gamsol, and some Spica pens.
And off we went. I colored the image while on the ferry ride over to CT. When we got back into the car, I got the camera, and hubby helped me take some photos - can you see the CT skyline and the car dash?
Now here at our B&B, he is giving me time to post this card. Isn't he great?! and patient!!
Ok, enough said.
supplies:
- stamps: chicks- Penny Black; sentiment - Hero Arts
- paper: PTI
- embossing folder: sizzix
- other: color pencils, gamsol, spica pens
Thanks again for looking and your comments.
Love your card . . . the inage & coloring are sweet, but I really liked the way you grounded it with the embossed dots. Great story - supportive husbands are the best!

ReplyDeleteI love these Penny Black chicken stamps (as you know), however I don't believe that the link you added in your post goes to any of the cards I have made using this one!
I'm glad I inspired you to buy it and am impressed by the conditions during its construction.
Thanks so much
