I do have a stash of cards - most of them on the feminine side.  So when my nephew-in-law's birthday came up, I did not really have a card for him.  I've had this stamp for quite a while now, and have always wanted a chance to use it.  Here is that chance :)
I used sketch from
Freshly Made Sketches and the colors from
Play Date Cafe .

Patrice over at
The Old Back Porch has some great photography going on.  She also has a
52 - Card Pick Up Challenge going on. . .  to make one card a week for 52 weeks.  Now on Tuesday, I am going back to work (I am a teacher).  So my time for card-making will become very limited.  I am not a fast creator.  Ideas need to mull around in my head for a while.  I start and stop my creations - sometimes they come out like the ideas in my head. . . sometimes not.   Anyway the reason I told you all this is, that I think the challenge of one card a week (for the rest of the school year) will be a good one for me :)

On a personal note: (skip if you'd like)
Now it is Labor Day Weekend - a big BBQ weekend.  Hubby got a call to invite us to a Q and bring a side dish.  Me, I am not much of a cook, and I would just go to the local deli and get some type of salad.  My husband really does not cook - except for an awesome breakfast, and to BBQ what I put before him.  Once in a great while, he will get the urge to cook.  And that is happening now, while I write this post.  Here is the photo of his finished creation:

Here is the link for the recipe:
Festive Pasta Salad - he said to let you know the tomatoes were his own idea :)

Looks yummy, and tastes good too!
