vintage watercolor flowers

I stamped and colored this image a while ago when I got together with crafty friends. So I'm not sure, but it may qualify for Pixie's Snippet Playground

The main image is from Technique Tuesday.  The script on the right is from ??  The "chicken wire" is from Prima (I think).  The sentiment and papers are from PaperTreyInk

We emulated this post from  Heather Telford She calls it Vintage Watercoloring.  I also used Vintage Photo distress ink and watercolor pencils.

So I am also putting this into Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge

I never made it into a card . . . until  . . . 2 snow days in a row  . . . attached to a weekend -- a teacher's dream!  And a crafter's dream - time to create!
So I looked for a sketch that would compliment the image  and found this:

I'm also placing this into Vintage Journey February's challenge is Words that are Special  I think the sentiment speaks for itself.  

I pulled the background colors from the image, focusing on these colors from the Chocolate Baroque Challenge 

That's all for now.  My daughter-in-law invited for a day out with her mom, to visit some local wineries!  So I'm out of here!  Woop Woop.

Loss of Pet

My friend recently lost her furry family member.  This is for her and her family.  I know the colors are not your typical sympathy colors, but they are among her favorite colors. 

I am putting this onto the following challenges:
1. Addicted to CAS - Far Away - I thinks this qualifies as he is now "far away", but still close to their hearts.

2. Pal Paper Arts  - a color challenge:

 

 

3. Unscripted Sketches - I rotated the center panel a bit --

Paper Trey January Blog Hop Challenge

I made this for the Paper Trey Ink January Blog Hop - Challenge of Black Backgounds. 

One of my very first ever card classes used the technique I used here: embossed in clear, and colored with Perfect Pearls.  It was great to pull these out again -- and the nice thing about Perfect Pearls is that because they are powder, they don't "go bad". I don't know if the shine and shimmer really shows up in the photo, but IRL they are quite pretty.  I added a few dots with a white gel pen (not sure if I really needed that).  But once they were there, I couldn't take them off.   It is kind of like Darnell's Washi Tape debacle that you can read about. 

I used the sketch from The Paper Players , but rotated  it; and the colors from Color Throwdown

Paper: PTI (black and lavendar moon)
Stamps: flower - friendship jar; sentiment - A wreath for all seasons
Other: versamark, clear embossing powder, perfect pearls, ribbon, white gel pen
