A+ Teacher

I decided to try another one-layer card. One of my friends just won "Teacher of the Year" at our school.  So this card is for her. When I first met her about 4 years ago, she was looking for a new hobby.  I introduced her to card making, and she's been hooked ever since!

I am participating at the Online Card class - and the technique I used is "Optical Illusion" - masking

I decided to look around for a "sketch" and found this at Pals Paper Arts . I don't know if you can see the embossed  lines around the panel of the books.  Then I used spica gel pens to give the "layers" a bit more definition.
I made this card first:
I am not sure which I like better.  I think if my masking was better on this card, it would be my favorite.  What do you think?

This will also fit for the challenge at Less is More - which is to use "3 of something".  There are 3 books, and 3 red sequins and 3 gold sequins (on the top card).

Thanks so much for looking.  I love your comments.  Consider following.

  5. Hi Carol,
I like both of the cards, but I think I prefer the second one.
With the books in the "extra-layer" on the right side it looks more like a bookshelf. - Cool effect!
