Happy Bday 2 You

One more day to play -- I recently got some Hero Arts neon stamp pads, and I had gotten this CAS-ual Fridays stamp set a while ago (NBUS).

At Chromatic Craze , a new website for me, their challenge is to use neon colors -- perfect!

December 2013 Color Challenge

I found the sketch I like at CASE this Sketch.  I just flipped it a bit

Over at CAS-ual Fridays the challenge is to use color blocks
So I took the image stamp, and used the back of it to stamp the neon color squares.  Then embossed the image with black-diamond embossing powder, and cut out the squares.  I debossed a rectangle for the image sentiment.  Then embossed the image with white powder.

All that embossing/debossing certainly qualifies this card for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday challenge which is to emboss!

And last but not least, I am putting this into Simon Says Stamp - Monday  and Seize the Birthdaywhich is "anything goes"

Thank you for looking.  I hope you like it.  I love to read your comments.

No Cracks

My "baby" sister turns 50 later this year. I am making a collection of cards to send her, little by little.

And I've been looking for stamps that are more humorous  . . .  Hambo stamp company has many  great funny stamp combinations!  Check them out!

Their first challenge for 2014 is Hambo Hoedown # 141 - any Animal

I used the sketch from Friday Mash Up and the colors from My Favorite Things Color Palette Challenge - which are pink, black, and white.

The pattern papers are from Basic Grey.  The pennant is from My Favorite Things -- the fishtail flags. As always, thanks for looking.  I enjoy reading your comments.

Xmas Thank You - CAS(E) this Sketch

I need several thank you cards to use for Xmas gifts -- I probably should have made them sooner  . . . oh well.  This sketch from Cas(E) this Sketch is truly Clean and Simple.  It was a snap to put this together. It could easily have been a One-Layer card, but I do love my layers.  I was able to create quite a few in one afternoon.

The holly stamp is from Inkadinkadoo.  I am not sure about the other stamps.  I used Hero Arts Shadow inks. A bit of glue bead for the berries and done.

Thanks for looking.

Every Morning - Retro Sketch

This card will be for niece #3 -- who continues to battle drug addiction.  Right now she is ok, but she continues to struggle.  I got this sentiment from Whipper Snapper Stamps -- I thought it very appropriate for her.  She likes when she gets a text, phone call, etc.  to remind her of the many reasons to stay clean.

I used this sketch from Retro Sketch - I flipped it, to make it look like a sun.   I took a bit of liberty with the placement of the sentiment.  It could not be made to go around the sun -- but that would have been really cool.
The papers are from a variety of sources -- I did not keep track of them all.   I cut them with a die from Paper Smooches, then pieced them together.  The "sun" is a glitter paper from DCWV.

Hopefully your family has not been touched by addiction -- it is a terrible disease.  I continue to pray for addicts and their families.

Thanks for looking, and taking the time to comment.
