Beachy Bridal Shower

One of my best friend's sons is getting married.  This is for his fiance's shower.  The theme of their wedding is "beach".

I loved the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

And I thought the colors at Play Date Cafe were perfect beach colors.  They even titled their challenge "nautical breezes"  (did they know I was going to finally create this weekend?)

There is a blog that encourages you to create something in 10 minutes - I was able to create this in about 30 minutes (this includes selecting supplies and planning)  I don't know about you, but I savor the creating -- this is my relaxation -- should not be my stress.  But it was fun trying to create something in a short time -- especially since the shower was in 2 hours from when I started this!!  :)

Anyway -- life is hectic but wonderful -- my own son is getting married in 5 weeks!!  Oh my! So now I am going for fittings, shoes, jewlery, hair and makeup trials, etc, etc.  This wedding is more complicated than my own was 34 years ago this past week!  But I am enjoying every minute of it.

supplies:
  • solid paper: PTI
  • dark blue pattern: Momenta
  • light aqua: Echo Park
  • sticker: K and Company
  • I "painted" some stickles on the dark blue.
  • sentiment stamp: PTI
Oh, and I was also inspired by this ad in a Good Housekeeping magazine:
